Peculiar Streams

Founded in September 2011, Peculiar Streams takes place roughly every two months at The Back Room at Jimmy’s No. 43, East Village, New York City.

Envisioned as “part workshop, part cabaret,” the goal of the show is to provide authors, musicians, filmmakers, comedians, and performance artists with a venue to take risks, test new material, and hone their craft.

Peculiar Streams is regularly featured in Nonsense NYC and has included readings and performances from Julia Alekseyeva, Benny & Griff, Joe Berkowitz, Sarah Dooley, Kyle Horn, Claire Kiechel, Dan Kitrosser, Alison Klemp, Brendan McLaughlin, Ian Scheffler, Marguerite Van Cook, Bob Vulfov, and many more.

It is curated and hosted by Matt Herzfeld and Sam Reisman. You can read more about Peculiar Streams here.
